  • The Albury Chamber Music Festival is delighted to introduce another of our confirmed artists for the 2017 festival - clarinettist David Griffiths. David Griffiths is Senior Lecturer in Clarinet, Coordinator of Woodwind and a member of Ensemble Liaison, ensemble-in-residence at the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music, Monash University. Originally from Armidale NSW, he studied at the Canberra School of Music with Alan Vivian before completing his Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music under the direction of Charles Neidich, Ricardo Morales, Alan Kay and David Krakauer.   • For those of you in the local area, tune in this morning to ABC local radio (FM 106.5) to hear Festival Director Fr Peter Macleod-Miller in interview with Gaye Pattison ABC Goulburn Murray. Fr Peter will be discussing next Tuesday's Festival Launch, as well as giving a sneak preview of what's to come for our November 2017 Festival 🙂

  • The Albury Chamber Music Festival is delighted to introduce the first of our confirmed performers for the 2017 festival - pianist Caroline Almonte. Melbourne-born pianist Caroline Almonte has a reputation as a gifted, versatile and sensitive artist. She has won numerous awards, including the winner of the keyboard section of the ABC Young performers awards and First prize at the international chamber music competition in Italy, Premio Trio di Trieste.   • What a fantastic opening concert we just had! Concert 2 - Rising Stars Masterclass This concert allows local up and coming chamber music performers a chance at world class learning from the wonderful Josephine Vains (strings) and the beautiful Sally-Anne Russell (vocals). Featuring Lisette Colton (soprano), Caleb Murray (cello), Julia Tomkins (violin) with Grace Kernaghan (piano). What a fantastic opportunity to see how the experts do it!

  • DAY TWO BEGINS! After such a beautiful, sunny opening day of our festival, today we embrace the cool change and are hosting some wonderful chamber music at all 3 venues out of the rain.
